What to do after the first face-to-face interview

What to do after the first face-to-face interview

Immediately after you leave the company after your on-site interview, be sure you have the proper spelling, emails and titles of every person who interviewed you. These will be imperative info for future correspondence.

From your brief notes made during the meetings, make detailed written notes of the topics and concerns discussed. Be sure to pay attention to the exact duties and responsibilities of the potential position. Note any details mentioning your opinion on things like overtime, last job or any of your future expectations.

Once these are written and reviewed, it is now time to write the Thank You note to all you spoke with during your visit. Thank them all individually in a separate email for taking time out of their busy schedule to speak with you in detail regarding the opportunity. Try to tie in with any Public Relations or recent Press Releases to show you have researched the company.

Be sure to mention how well you fit in with their company culture, beliefs and the particular job responsibilities.
