A Creative Job Strategy
A Creative Job Strategy
Imagine trying to drive from your home to a destination 1000 miles away, without a map, directions or an address. You might see some great things along the way and maybe you would get their eventually. But it wouldn’t be the most efficient way to get where you are going quickly. A successful job search is at least as complex. If you’re attempting it without a strategy, you may make progress and you may succeed eventually but it’s not the fastest, most effective way to get hired. You need a PLAN.
The Pitfalls of Going "Plan-less"
A lot of people jump right into a job search, eager to get back to work. They comb job listings and send out resumes. But without a strategic plan, their approach is scattershot and unlikely to succeed. Gauging progress based on how many resumes you send out creates a false sense of productivity. Unfocused efforts eventually create frustration and can actually make the job search take longer.
